Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation often. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. The child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since her age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her get her first post as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then she was promoted to a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. In 2009, the news reporter relocated into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. At some point they were moved to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. Her family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. In 1992, her parents divorced soon after. In 1995, she remarried Fabio Fajardo who was naval engineer, who passed away in the year 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the young Collins had taken a position alongside her elder sister. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she was very aware of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. The result was that she was a fan of the campus, and the university provided the degree she was looking for. She graduated from school and was went to the university with an undergraduate major in media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a part of her class, developed an ongoing relationship with the student. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her, and she was determined to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
